Bible Study and Worship

Sunday morning Bible study is a time for people to meet in small groups, led by a teacher, and discuss and study scripture.  Groups also gather together for regular fellowship time.

Sunday morning worship is a time to praise God through song and to hear Biblical preaching.  People are asked to use their talents to participate in the worship, whether through song, instrument, or other means.

Sunday night and Wednesday night Bible studies are a time to dig deep into the Word of God and to meet with fellow believers.

The church has regular times of fellowship with potlucks, cookouts, and other various activities.  Spring Lake believes the gathering together and fellowshipping of believers is important to the Christian life.

There are several ways for members to get involved in the church through class fellowship, Bible study groups, youth activities, and church-wide events.

Children and Youth Services

The Lily Wing is where all of the children’s classes and services take place. Designed and decorated like a village, the Lily Wing is catered to fit children’s learning and nurturing.

During Sunday School, the children are in classes divided by age and taught by eager adults. During morning church service, the children have their own church service where they learn about participating in a worship service.

On Sunday and Wednesday nights, the children have class and an opportunity to participate in the children’s choir.

Bible Beginners (ages 3 through kindergarten) meet Sunday night.  Sunbeams (grades Prek through 5th) meet every Wednesday night.  Senior youth (grades 6th through 12th) meet Wednesday nights.

The nursery is open for all services where the children are stimulated through books and videos; even the youngest member of Spring Lake has the opportunity to learn!

Sons of Salvation (S.O.S.)

Sons of Salvation is a motorcycle ministry that brings together the enjoyment of motorcycle riding and christian fellowship.  The group gets together weekly to ride to support revivals at sister churches.  Recently they traveled the Natchez Trace, and previously had been to motorcycle rallies in Fayetteville, AR and Sturgis, MS.

For more information on this ministry, and how to get patched, contact Josh Shepherd (903)278-9705.

WMA (Womens Missionary Auxiliary)

WMA is a group of ladies that study God's Word and raise money for missions.

We have a quarterly breakfast fundraiser to raise money for BMA missions and meet monthly for Bible study.  Every lady is invited and encouraged to attend!

For more information see Diann Rankin, Jenny Rankin, or Robbie Shepherd.

Mighty Men

The pastor’s Mighty Men of Spring Lake was organized in 2008.  This group of men is modeled after David's mighty men from I and II Samuel of the Old Testament of God's Word.  The goals of this group are to support, encourage, and pray for our pastor in his ministry at Spring Lake and to assist him in any spiritual battles that he faces.  Each of our mighty men serves as the pastor’s specific mighty man about one day per month. On that day the specific mighty man lets our pastor know that he is praying for him and supporting his leadership of our church.

Our key verse is I Thessalonians 5:11-13: "Encourage one another and build each other up, just as on fact you are doing. Now we ask you brothers, to respect those who work hard among you, who are over you in the Lord and admonish you.  Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work."
